Jessica Post is a dance artist and educator living in Portland, Oregon. She received her MFA in Dance from the University of Michigan in 2013 and her BFA in Dance from Cornish College of the Arts in 2006.
Jessica is a dedicated dance educator, currently teaching at Open Space, Oregon Ballet Theatre, the Multnomah Athletic Club, and BODYVOX (where she was Director of Community Engagement and Outreach). She previously taught in the dance programs at Portland Community College, Eastern Michigan University and Hillsdale College, and at the University of Michigan as a graduate instructor. She also served on the board of the Oregon Dance Education Organization, a state affiliate of NDEO. The past several years Jessica has focused on teaching dance in K-5 schools. As a teaching artist she collaborates with classroom teachers to provide a positive dance experience that enhances classroom curriculum. She has taught in school residencies, summer school and after school classes at numerous elementary schools in Portland Public Schools, David Douglas School District, Parkrose School District, and Hillsboro School District.

Her professional performing experience includes five seasons with The Dance COLEctive in Chicago, under artistic director Margi Cole. She was also a founding company member with Esoteric Dance Project (Chicago) and performed with Ann Arbor Dance Works (Michigan). Her recent choreography focuses on collaboration, including cross-disciplinary collaboration. She has presented work at In the Rough dance festival (Portland), Detroit Dance City Festival (MI), National Flute Association Convention (San Diego), Detroit Institute of Arts (MI), Hillsdale College (MI), Brighton Dance Festival (MI), and Links Hall (Chicago). Recently, she collaborated with Portland songwriter Mina Whitesides and cinematographer Derich Hartfeil of Fortem Films.

Jessica continues to expand her interest in a variety of movement and conditioning methods. She completed a comprehensive Pilates certification through Power Pilates in 2008 and also completed her GYROTONIC® certification in 2020. She currently teaches private and semi-private sessions at Kinespirit Circle Studio in Portland. She also presented a research poster at the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science in 2013.
